Motherhood retained an emotional soft spot for Samuel Bugeja. Throughout the years he created various statues with different interpretations. This particular work of art depicts a pensive mother wondering what the future of her baby will hold

The well renound Anton Buttigieg, wrote the following:

A baby sleeping
In her Lap; it's Mother's eyes
Look far out
Into the futute asking "who knows
what shall become of the creature?"

This writing was inspired by a bronze statue by sculptor Samuel Bugeja, a statue that he kindly gifted to me. Dr Anton Buttigieg, ex-President of Malta and renound Poet.
